Changism is a philosophical project that begins with productive activity and asks how things, time, and experience can be understood from that starting point. It brings together books, research papers, and shorter writing that make its ideas available for examination and discussion.
The philosophy informs further inquiries into physics, cosmology, and consciousness. Those proposals remain answerable to their own arguments and evidence. The work develops through criticism, clarification, and revision.
How Changism Developed
Changism grew out of a question I had been considering for many years: could time be understood through the measurement of change?
Reading Aristotle’s Physics in my early twenties gave that question a clearer direction. His treatment of time and change seemed a promising starting point, with much still to be worked out. A turning point in 2012 supplied the initial basis for Changism. Since then, the inquiry has developed into a broader account of activity, persistence, causation, and our understanding of the world.
